Kailash Gahlot Political Journey: A Shift from AAP to BJP
Now a day there is a debate of Kailash Gahlot the prominent leader of Aam Aadmi Party when he left the party on 17 November 2024. And after resignation from Aam Aadmi Party he joined Bharatiya Janata Party on the next day.
Early Life and Legal Career
He was born in Najafgarh, Mitraon village, Delhi. He has an agricultural background and began his legal career before stepping into politics. Gahlot has argued in a variety of cases that concern the rights of farmers and has been a lawyer in the Supreme Court and High Court for more than 10 years. As Transport Minister, Kailash Gahlot was  the person who was responsible for implementing the Electric Vehicle Policy, which is designed to reduce the pollution and to promote sustainable transport (electric buses) in Delhi.
He was also responsible for introducing electric buses to improve public transportation within the metropolis. In addition, Gahlot was involved in initiatives such as Pink Pass Scheme, which offered free bus rides for women , women’s safety in public transport and The Mukhyamantri Tirath Yatra Yojana, which provided free pilgrimage excursions for seniors.
As the Environment Minister, Kailash Gahlot focused on addressing the issue of the Yamuna River’s pollution.
